These clips were made in English and dubbed into Arabic with the model the app runs. Play one, then switch between the original and Arabic.

An animated character

  • The character keeps its bright, young voice in Arabic.
  • Music and forest sounds stay under the new speech.
  • Stylized mouths rarely need lip-sync, so a plain dub is usually enough for animation.

Narration over footage

A narrator never shows their lips, so nothing has to match on screen. This is the simplest kind of video to dub into Arabic: the voice changes and the picture stays exactly as you cut it.

Who you reach

Where a Arabic version can be watched.

Arabic is the main language from the Gulf to North Africa: Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Morocco and many more countries. For a creator, a single Arabic version can be followed across that whole region, although everyday speech changes a lot from one country to the next.

CPM is what advertisers pay, not what a creator earns. Pay depends on where viewers watch, the niche and YouTube Partner Program eligibility. No result is guaranteed.

Before you publish

What to check in a Arabic dub.

A dub can't be corrected word by word, so listen to the result before you post it, ideally with a native speaker.

  • Standard Arabic or a dialect

Modern Standard Arabic is the language of news and books, while people chat in Egyptian, Gulf, Levantine or Maghrebi dialects. Listen for which variety you hear and whether it suits the tone of your video.

  • Masculine and feminine forms

Arabic verbs, adjectives and the word for "you" change with gender. Check that a woman talking about herself uses feminine forms and that the way the viewer is addressed fits your audience.

  • Names with p or v

Standard Arabic has no p or v sound, so foreign names are often said with b and f instead. Listen to how your brand, product and personal names come out.

Questions

Questions before you start

Which languages can I translate into Arabic from?

You don't choose a source language: the spoken language is detected automatically. You choose Arabic as the language to dub into.

Will the Arabic voice sound like the original speaker?

Each voice is created from the original speaker, so it should sound similar, not identical. Clear speech with little background noise gives the best result.

Which variety of Arabic does the dub use?

There is one Arabic option, with no regional variants to choose from. If a regional audience matters to you, ask a native speaker from that region to listen before you publish.

Can I get Arabic subtitles instead of a dub?

No. DubSync makes a dubbed MP4, not a subtitle file.

How long can the video be?

Up to 150 minutes and 1 GB per file, as an MP4, MOV or M4V.

How is a Arabic dub priced?

By the input minute: the length of your original video, for each target language. You upload first and see the minutes and the cost before anything starts.
